I love doing themed parties for my kids! Making decorations and fun themed eats makes it fun and special.

This year, my 3 year old asked for a Nightmare Before Christmas themed party (my favorite!). I didn’t have a whole lot to spend on decorations this year but I still wanted to do some special things. Here’s what I made while sticking to my minimal budget.

The first thing we made was Oogie Boogie jello cups.

To make these, we really only needed 4 things:

I had my toddler help me make the jello, I poured it into the cups, then he helped me add the gummy worms. We used my cupcake carrier to store them and it was perfect!

Next, we put them in the fridge to set and the next day we added Oogie Boogie’s face using the decorating icing.

The kids loved them!

The other decorations I did were very simple.

The one activity I put out for the kids was these cool Make Your Own Nightmare Before Christmas stickers.

They come with Jack, Sally, Oogie Boogie, Lock, Shock, and Barrel and you can use them to create your own characters or scenes.

Check out the scene I made (because even adults enjoy playing with stickers!):

I also ordered a sticker and tattoo bundle to use for some of the piñata filling and I used some of the stickers on the labels I made for the sandwiches.

Labels were made with card stock, Halloween paper straws, black sharpie, and tape.

My mom helped me put together a veggie tray and printed a picture of Oogie Boogie she pulled off of google to place in the middle.

Printed on basic printer paper

I created a happy birthday image using Canva with another image I pulled off google and added a picture of my kiddo to make it special.

(Everything was printed at home using my Canon printer)

I also make my son a special shirt to wear for his birthday using my Cricut machine. He loved it!

All these simple decorations and themes were very easy to make and put together, and also not costly at all. Who says you need to spend a fortune to throw your kids and fun themed party?
